The inventory database is a central repository for inventory information including amount, concentration, location, labware type, diluent. Mosaic tracks vials, tubes and plates, and understands advanced inventory concepts including containment (plates in boxes, on trolleys etc), compound libraries and plate generations. All items are tracked by barcode. Workstations interact with the inventory database in real time to read and record inventory information, ensuring an accurate and consistent picture of the inventory and all in-progress work. An abstraction interface is used between the system applications and the database. So it is possible for the system to use your existing corporate or third-party inventory representation instead of Titian’s standard version. All operations that are performed on a sample are automatically recorded in a full and comprehensive audit trail.
